Mutton chops, “Sergeant Pepper”, love it lol.
Lee, get some sleep and stop slapping that poor mic about :P

    • Lee

@Jayne, LOL yeah I have some bizarre takes on things when I’m really tired and watching these films.

thank god no blue meanies showed up!

  • Ian

Oi! Who are you calling a lazy bastard? :-p

Yet again, a great job on reviewing a film that’s been around forever. Will I watch it? No, probably not. Definitely not because of the review, but because I too am lazy and I have a big list of “films I should watch” already.

btw. Billy Zane’s character did survive the sinking ship in Titanic, only to shoot himself during the Great Stock Market crash of ’29.

    • Lee

@Ian, you know I’ve only ever seen Titanic once. The first time at the cinema and never again, not for any real reason just never got around to it.

So I hear what you’re saying about not getting around to seeing a film like this. I think if it were on tv in the afternoon and you had time to spare (LOLOLOLOL) then it’s a good distraction and easy enough to watch.

      • Ian

@Lee, What is this ‘spare time’ you speak of? :-p

    Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam

I just joined Miso because of you two.

    • Lee

@MC, Miso is right up your alley – although that said I don’t know you any more man – first twitter now miso – next you’ll be upgrading your computer and getting Skype (O.o)

    • Ian

@MC, Hey, me too! I got my Newbie badge yesterday :-)

      • http://allthatcomeswithit.com Dan

@Ian, Those badges are extremely addictive. I’ve even considered watching some shows just go get them. Sad, very sad.

  • http://rolhirst.blogspot.com/ Rol

    Thanks for not mentioning me.

    • http://allthatcomeswithit.com Dan

@Rol, You’ll also note that I’m respecting your wishes even further by not even responding to this comment

    • Lee

@Rol, no problem mate! I’m thinking of making it a regular segment not mentioning you or your independent comic book that really deserves everyone’s attention…

Maybe you guys could have invited a guest who *may* have gone on a grade 6 school excursion to Rensburg koppie where we acted the battle between Willem Cornelis Janse van Rensburg and the Zulu’s.

I haven’t seen Jaws before, I am going to add it to my things to do before your next podcast.

    • http://allthatcomeswithit.com Dan

@Lauren, I am deeply ashamed we didn’t tap your knowledge. I’d forgotten yous South African connections.

But the bigger issue is you haven’t seen Jaws!!? I’m stunned. You are in for a real treat!

Lee and I were a little slack in watching the film this week, so you have until next Wednesday to get it under your belt. I’ll be checking Miso to make sure you do your homework.

You are in for a real treat!

    • Lee

      @Lauren, No Jaws!!!!?!

I’m taken aback, I’m apoplectic, shocked even.

You should really watch Jaws, it will give you a healthy fear of the ocean and possibly an unhealthy fear of swimming pools…

For some reason I thought Miso was strictly a mobile app, which I wouldn’t be able to use, but I just went to the website and it seems I was mistaken. I’ve been feeling left out of that one, so I’m signing up… still no Twitter for me, though.

As for Zulu… I almost want to see it now for two reasons: Michael Caine and the fact that I can apparently download it legally.

And I gotta say, I was worried you guys were gonna spoil Inception for me. Thanks for holding back.

    • http://allthatcomeswithit.com Dan

@Jeff, you should watch it Jeff, it’s really really good. I regret not giving it a 9 to be honest. I was swayed by Lee’s 7

Miso is useful as a mobile app as my iPhone is always handy so I just list it as I watch it. I do worry a little that the updates will annoy my facebook and twitter friends if I do them too often though

      • http://www.caddicks.com/blog Jeff

@Dan, at least on FB they can block the app if they don’t want the updates.

    • Lee

      @Jeff, I think it’s certainly worth a watch!

Miso is getting better and better as a social network, we’re able to leave comments now which is cool.

listened to this today and I think I saw it on dvd in a store this week. Sounds really worthwhile. How do the copyright laws work in the US? Overhere I think it falls when the author has died 70! years ago. So it’s gonna take a while.

@ Inception: I still need to see this, but has either of you seen Existenz (it’s from 1999..so it ís technically in Midmo waters)? My brother mentioned that Inception ripped off some ideas from that one, which is a great movie btw.

    • Lee

@Arjan, I’ve never actually sat down and watched Existenz though I’m aware of the film, might have to check it out. We just locked in our next ten films.
