Well, let me be the first to say what everyone is thinking: Crap.

And now, let me be the first to say what else everyone is thinking: Take care of yourselves and do what you need to do. We’ll be here when you get back.

And now, let me be the first to say what Ian was thinking: FIRST!

      Second that.
      And that.

Drat, beaten again… I mean, well said Jeff ;-)

It is better to take a break to let things settle down than to keep pushing this and perhaps end up both resenting the podcast and each other.

Jeff, you’re forgetting: where’s that Amazon voucher!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/alewis8 Andrea

    I demand a refund!… somehow…

    Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!.

You guys gotta do, what you gotta do.
Chill out and refresh and we’ll see you when we see you.

And you can always do Yor: Hunter From the Future as your Come back Special ;)

    All the best.

Love and appreciate you guys, and appreciate where you’re coming from. Look after yourselves! I’ll certainly be starting back at the beginning. Take care!

I’m sad to hear the news but thanks for letting us know what’s going on. Life moves us in all sorts of directions so please take your time and look after yourselves.

You both have built a strong community here full of articulate, passionate and oppinionated people (in a good way) who’ll be here if/when you come back, and for that, I thank you.

    Take care and stay frosty.

    Guys,

First of all let me thank you for the podcast. It has been great to listen to, and as I’ve said before it was really cool to have while going through a rough time in my life.

I fully support you guys taking a break, but will definitely miss the show. I sincerely hope it comes back eventually, and I can’t wait till that happens. I will now go back and make sure I listen to every episode, though it will probably make me sad knowing that when I catch up that will be it.

Lee, I’m not sure what medical problems you’re having but I wish you all the best and will pray for you. My wife and I have dealt with cancer in the past, so we know how time consuming and nagging health problems can be sometimes.

Dan, God bless you and your family. Having young kids can be very time consuming! Congrats on the new baby as well!

Man, I’m way more sad about this than I should be :) . But you guys really do have a great show, and I’ll be back to listen and laugh whenever you guys are ready.

+1 on all the above comments from other listeners.

    Jonathan

  • Matt Jones

Just as I was really enjoying it as well!!! :-(

Of course, I echo the comments of fellow listeners. At least, as a recent convert, I have quite a substantial back-catalogue to get through, by which time, you’ll hopefully be back doing this fine podcast.

    Take care guys.

    Matt

Thanks for the commitment to the podcast over the journey and good luck in getting what you need to do done.

BTW – This is a nice way to delay the Total Recall review :P

    Regards,
    Dean

Do what you have to do. Thanks for some great listens!…… man I wish someone would pay you guys to do this professionally!

  • http://manilovefilms.com Dylan

    Um…ditto.

Seriously, though – appreciate the news even if a bit bummed by it. Like the others, I’ll be back on board when you two take to the skies again.

If Jones is to blame for any of this, we really ought to know about that, though…

  • Kelly

Sad to hear, but hey life happens. You guys do what you have to do. We like you healthy, happy, and sassy.

I would never delete you guys from my itunes. Oddly enough my other fav podcast Trekcast went on hiatus more than a year ago, and just started back up, so I will hold out hope for you guys. :) I am really impressed with how long you guys have gone without a major break.

I’m still holding out for that Willow podcast.

Take care guys, will keep up on your blogs.

  • Morgan

Thanks for the many hours of free entertainment. Through your efforts you’ve inadvertently saved the lives of many of my co-workers. Good luck with the tcb guys!

    • http://schwoit.com Dean

So I take it that you have warned those co-workers that your entertainment outlet is suspended and to be wary?

      • Morgan

What? Oh no I’m sure I’ll find another great podcast. I heard there is one with these two guys talking about The Legend of Korra. Wish me luck!

  • Matt T

Right. Thought I’d actually listen to the podletcast first but it was pretty much as I thought.

    So. Bugger.

    However.

I’ve had enough bitter and twisted workmates over the years who should’ve quit (or taken a break) when they had the chance to know this is a smart move (and you guys aren’t even getting paid). I will keep my eyes open (and maybe keep an eye on Dan’s summerhouse….I would have gone for a fallout shelter myself but there you go).
