The Academy Awards (1990)
In a sad desperate attempt to cash in on the Academy Awards we present our very shoddy review of the 1990 Academy Awards.
It’s probably our best work to date which is probably sad. Listen to hear Dan and Lee sing songs from The Little Mermaid, it’s actually worse than it sounds!
We promise next week will be Wrath of Khan!!

Want to watch the movie before next week?

@MC, we don’t come to your blog and tell you how to properly pronounce names! Just because we have no idea!!!

Wow… that podcast was a feat worthy of the MidMo charter. I sit here as the hour approaches midnight and I wonder… was it worth it? I’m having a hard time rating this one. An inspired idea, marred by boring bits, but punctuated by moments of sheer hilarity. I actually literally laughed out loud a couple of times. And it’s amazing the kinds of quality films I’ve apparently missed by dismissing documentaries. That Amazonian princess trilogy sounds fantastic.
Good work, guys.

@Jeff, “An inspired idea, marred by boring bits” pretty much sums the Midnight Movie Club up to be honest.

@Jeff, Boring bits?? That’s a horrible way to talk about Dan!!
I do think though that EVERYONE wants to see that Amazonian princess trilogy

It was amazing to hear the names of all those films I don’t recall hearing before! Mind you, Field of Dreams is on my Desert Island DVDs list! Even though I find Kevin Costner an average actor, I love this film! Do yourself a favour…
(Scared a golfer about to tee off, this morning on the walk to work today… is there a safe place to listen to your Podcast?!?)

@SG-3, Field of Dreams is just one of those movies that just keeps dodging me, it’s never on TV and I don’t have a copy handy.
