This week Dan goes AWOL and Lee struggles with a film that he compares to giving his extracted eyeballs a salt bath.
He’s a baby.
- Marvel as Lee struggles with the basics of the internet.
- Gasp as he refers to the star of the movie as Justin Bateman
- Stare slack jawed as he demands you leave no comments*
- Sigh in relief as a special guest pops in
- Sigh in disappointment when he leaves again
- Wonder why there’s a huge pause at the start (Lee is)…
Now next week should appeal slightly more to Lee’s delicate tastes: The Monster Squad
*Please note that Lee’s opinions on discussing this movie in the comments does not reflect the policy or opinions of The Midnight Movie Club or that guy down the street who collects plastic bags and yells at the kids as they walk by. Please discuss away.

In case you were interested in the original podcast where I savage the mess that is TMNT II it is: http://quityourdayjob.com.au/2009/06/tmnt-film-retrospective/
Damnit, this was better than most of the ones I co-hosted on. Great job man.
@Dan, I wouldn’t want to do it on my own again for a long while though.
Cheers though!
ha ha… Good thing you had that post-script on the end. I was wondering how a movie with those songs in it could rate a 0.5.
It’s so sad that John Astin and Jason Bateman ended up in that. Those are two guys who I just want to see succeed in all their roles, but aside from some shining examples, they usually end up in bad films.
@Jeff, I imagine that Teen Wolf Too considering the popularity of the first one looked to be a pretty good bet.
The problem with the film is that there is no love in it, no passion to make the best possible sequel.
I realised that I might have been misleading with those cool songs, but frankly I needed something to perk me up after seeing that film, it was either that or hard core drugs and they were easier to come by
Ha! mp3 player backlash! I’ve listend to Teenwolf Midmo 1 &2, while cleaning…my cleaning (paid) job was much funnier than without those haha.
I think I’ll check out #1 and stay the hell away from #2.
Also listened to Highlander while travelling. I’m catching up
