You’ll have to wait and see for the BTTF review – but I can tell you now Lee goes off on a massive rant about Doc Brown’s hair care routine. and you should here what he has to say about Michael J Fox’s singing voice.

I love Scrooged. It’s dark and has a heart at the same time.

And if you guys trash BTTF, I will drive my limited edition to Delorean to your homes and kick your asses. I know it’s across an ocean, but where I’m going, I don’t need roads.

This is definitely my favorite Christmas Carol movie. I just wish my wife liked comedies more, so I could watch it. There’s something seriously messed up in that brain of hers. She won’t even watch Ernest Saves Christmas, for cryin’ out loud!

@always home and uncool, Now that you mention it, you're right there are a lot of physical effects in this film and next to no CGI which makes it kinda more endearing! I also forgot that they were bringing out a motion capture version of a Christmas Carol, I hope they don't mess up Yellow Submarine when they remake that.

@Kevin Spencer, Watching it for the first time eh? I envy her. Although whenever I've tried to introduce someone to one of my much loved films I've always found they are nonplussed by it. Perhaps you need some time between the first viewing and now for it to register in your mind as a classic

@always home and uncool, yes, there certainly is something to be said for propper special effects rather than CGI. Sometimes they can take the soul out of a movie I think. Especially when the CGI is portraying people - they can never get the eyes right if they try to be too realistic.

Yes I have always liked Scrooged. It’s the perfect mix of warmth and black comedy (Michael O’Donohue was one of the writers and he was a very dark kind of guy).
Have you guys seen Zombieland? A very funny movie that came out recently where Bill Murray spoofs himself hilariously.

@Insomniac Mummy, nearly all our reviews are 80's reviews - certainly the three or four we have lined up. Plus if you come back on Thursday there may be even more Murray goodness Incidentally there was a time in my mid teens when my voice was breaking when I sounded very Bobcat like too.

My 7 month old sounds just like Bobcat at the moment ’tis uncanny.
