By The Midnight Movie Crew, December 24, 2009 1:00 pm

Because it’s Christmas and because some of you just can’t get enough of Dan and Lee (mainly Dan and Lee) we are bringing you a bonus podcast to supplement the Midnight Movie Club!

Eventually it will be on iTunes – hopefully by the time you read this and we’ll make sure to let you know where you can subscribe so you don’t miss a minute!!

For now Merry Christmas and enjoy our continued ramblings:

Download the podcast!

The music track featured within the podcast is An Orange Groove by Raphael Pistachio.
You can download the entire Scrooged soundtrack at Popdose (We’re not sure it’s entirely legal though).

    Nicely done, guys. Two items:
1- Annie Lenox is a goddess, but “Put a Little Love in Your Heart” is pretty damn insipid. And Al Green stooping that low as well hurts too.
2- An audio quibble: if your audio mixing skills (and your software) are up to it, I would not recommend mixing the voices 100%/0% or 0%/100% left/right. It is a little disconcerting to the brain like that. If you want stereo imaging, you can mix it 60/40 or 70/30 and you’ll still get the effect.

@JJ Daddy-O, 1 – I generally dislike Annie Lenox, but I like “put a little love in your heart”. So quiet clearly you are wrong (although granted that like is probably based on nostalgia rather than merit).
2 – thanks for the feeback – Lee was doing the recording his end, and I think it just turned out that way rather than we did it on purpose. I quite liked the left right thing, but I certainly take your point about it being a little confusing. We’ll have a look at mixing it together a bit.

    Cheers for listening though :)

@JJ Daddy-O, cheers for the feedback, the program I use to record our Skype conversations does do that stereo thingy to the track.

Unfortunately it will do it again for Thursday’s podcast but I assure that the podcast is awful that you won’t even notice the blinding migraine that is forming through the stereo effect.

After that I’m trying new settings that should clear it all up.

BTW Annie Lennox is indeed awesome.

I have a “fixed” version where you are both talking on the same channel if either of you are interested in having it. And it is about half the size now too, so that is certainly not too shabby. Drop me a line if you, I don’t know, want to hear the results.
