Get ready to fry up some huge pancakes, threaten a vice principal, sharpen your hatchet and avoid working in your girlfriend’s tyre company because Lee and Dan are watching some Uncle Buck. Well not “some”… they’re watching all of the 1989 John Hughes comedy which stars John Candy and a young (do we remember him in other way) Macaulay Culkin.
Now there was some more slight problems with the synopsis book… again and Lee sacrifices his contribution to Week in Geek to bring you more words of wisdom from Wonder Woman in the workplace (or more conveniently known as WoWfWWitW). We explore why Dan doesn’t have success in his life and the mystery of herringbone.
So come in, pull up a nice big comfy chair and enjoy the podcast, well tolerate it anyway (at least they’re not blathering about hovercrafts)
We’d also like to thank Scott from the Scifi Diner podcast on the Three of the Best segment and if you’d like to come on the show drop us a line.
As always you check out the trailer on the Midnight Movie Club Facebook page so you should also pop over there and be sure to like us and share us!
Join Lee and Dan next week as they watch the Michael Keaton prostitution / morgue film (how often do you get to write that?!?) Night Shift

Ooh ooh, I’m fist so I have a chance to answer the quiz
The answer to ‘which director had a cameo in The Blues Brothers’ is Steven Spielberg.
I don’t know who other one is, so no bonus points for me (as long as I got the 1st one correct).
That should be “I’m first so I have a chance to answer the quiz”.
I really need to learn how to spell.
You’ve already gotten a badge so ummm…
you have our admiration?
I thought we were pretending I didn’t have one as Dan didn’t know… uh oh.
Another cracking podcast, a big fan of uncle buck. though slightly worrying at x-mas when it was on and my sister saying i would be like uncle buck if i ever had to look after her kids!! Are you making a theme this season?? films with lame tv shows based on it? check out the titles on youtube? oh dear!!
as for the other director well john landis is actually in it as well as spielberg. Did frank oz ever direct as isn’t he the guy who signs him out of prison??
Yes, Frank Oz has a decent directing CV as well.
Little shop of horrors!!
I didn’t know that John Landis appears in it as well! But yes you are right regarding Frank Oz.
Now I’m suspicious, are there MORE directors in Blues Brothers???
Ray Charles directed a film once.
The dialogue was good, but the cinematography was shocking.
Now about Yes, Dear.
Spot the cliches in the premise. I will make a shoutout here so Lee knows who one of these people are.
An uptight Hollywood executive and wife, The Warners, (the gay hairdresser from The Rock and Ms. Kelly) are new parents, and his wife convinces him to let her more relaxed sister and slobby husband move in with them with their kids.
The slobby husband was played by the recurring cop role from My Name is Earl/Burt Hummel from Glee. And his character’s cousin who recurred a lot is now starring on Mike and Molly.
And Brian Doyle-Murray was Greg Warner’s boss on the show.
