That was one of the funniest podcasts you’ve done guys. Good job. Of course, you had the material to work with. That movie is just asking for it. It’s one of the worst great movies out there. As you said, it starts out excellent, with so much promise, devolves into something completely useless and almost incoherent, and then starts to show promise again, right at the very end… but doesn’t quite get there. And it has Rowdy Roddy Piper – right there that pretty much tells you all you need to know. Such an excellent, excellent premise, just ridden mercilessly into oblivion by bad acting and writing. And that’s just about what makes it worth watching, IMO. A study in how easily a good movie can go wrong, and once it takes that turn, how far wrong it can go. Love the “overlong Twilight Zone” comparison. Absolutely perfect.
