Dragnet (1987)
Just because Dan and the Hadrian’s walkers are off doing their thing and… umm walking we are still pushing forward to keep you guys entertained!! Show some love by popping over and donating some sweaty cash!!
- Dan and Lee invented the concept of Cheetos gloves…
- Dan does some major league foreshadowing.
- Lee and Dan declare that Tom Hanks used to be a man of the people and now isn’t.
- Dan and Lee pretty much quote the whole film.
- Is Dragnet the reason we have the Starsky and Hutch film? Bad Dragnet film, go to the corner!
- A lot of people don’t like Tom Hanks
- The synopsis is lacking… again
- 3 Men and a Baby part 3 – brought to you by the Midnight Movie Club!!!
- Leonard Nimoy coming out of retirement.
- Lee revolutionises the mental wellness industry.
- The eBay segment is back!!!
Next week the boys are watching Major League… um I think ummm I didn’t listen that far… here enjoy the Dragnet rap:

It is just me, you, your balls…. and this drawer.
I love the fact that they just kept having their cars stolen/messed up, so each car was progressively shittier.
It is a classic.
And the band in question is The Art of Noise.

@MC, Oh yeah that scene is gold!!
Did I not say Art of Noise? The band that performed with Tom Jones on Kiss?

I don’t remember hearing you say the actual name. Could be my mistake.
How much would you have laughed if Chloe O’Brian did that to a terror suspect on 24. That would have been her speed.

@MC, Dan may have edited it out to make me sound like I don’t know anything about Tom Jones backing bands!!! Damn him!
I wish they had said ‘you don’t know Jack!’ in 24 somewhere, they may have but not with the intended play on words

@MC, it’s just hard to understand anything Lee says..the accent probably. I didn’t hear it very well either and I was able to understand English pretty well from Newcastle to Carlise to London.

Wow, that is some crappy dancing.

They’re middle aged white men . . . of course the dancing is crappy. Respect the game, man.

@scc, no, I mean, it is beyond bad… it is the Ed Wood school of dancing.

@MC, I don’t understand what that means

@Ian, Ed Wood was a film maker who’s films were so bad that they actually got a cult following and an appreciation for their flaws.
Thus the dancing is so bad that it’s good

somehow some of the lines reminded me of the cartoon COPS.
This movie is on my to-watch list for the next week.
