It’s been a while since Lee and Dan have had a real disaster podcast on their hands but this week’s may just qualify as one. The end result was a bit of a struggle as Dan’s laptop deleted the makings of one of the funniest and thought provoking podcasts yet. On top of that Lee’s computer refused to record the backup so they lost it all. Then on the second run something else went wrong and a much more mediocre podcast was thrown to the side.
The third attempt is what you can hear today and we’re pretty happy with the job Dan has done putting it together.
In the podcast the boys discuss amongst other things the trailers of:
The boys also discuss the sheer volume of money that Apple has, why Dan is starting to dislike them and Lee’s irration distrust of people with various states of side-burns or lack of and teens.
None of this will make sense until you listen to the podcast.
Yes, that means listen to the podcast now!!
See now that wasn’t so bad now was it?
Next week Lee, Dan AND Kasey will be watching Krull.
Now go ahead and debate in the comments how much better 1960′s Batman is than Nolan Dark Knight!!!

- Release Date: 2003
- Directed by: Mark Steven Johnson
- Starring: Ben Affleck, Colin Farrell, Jennifer Garner, Michael Clarke Duncan

I haven’t seen the Directors Cut yet, I saw the original at the cinema and thought it was pretty average, not terrible but average. Certainly much better then Ghost Rider which is the worst Marvel film since this whole comic movie renaissance happened with the exception of Elektra which SUCKED!!!
Elektra had terrible acting, script and the fight scenes were so poorly shot you couldnt even see what was going on.
As for who George Washington should fight, it should be George Washington vs Big Foot unless he has access to a time machine then he should fight Cyclons.
I really like the idea of George Washington versus Bigfoot.
I do recommend the Director’s cut of Daredevil, its pacing and character development is better than the original.
perhaps a new comics series from Midmo?
I think this is naturally where this is leading isn’t it
yes, yes it is.
ps. have you seen the Million Dollar Man vs Big Foot on youtube?
No but I have seen MacGyver versus Bigfoot
Now that I haven’t seen…. must go look that one up.
heh heh… I remember that episode when it originally aired. Epic.
It begins…
Bravo sir. Bravo.
PS… Zombies still rule!!!
Hipster.
There is a flaw in your logic, hipsters like things before they were cool. And seeing as how zombies are now cool hipsters no longer like them.
With this in mind seeing as how you and Dan no longer like zombies it is in fact you that are the Hipster.
Hater.
I know you are…
ooooooooooh!
George Washington should fight Ninjas. I haven’t seen any Ninja’s since the 80′s and I miss them.
Ninjas have been under represented over the last decade or so.
Except of course for:

http://quityourdayjob.com.au/2011/03/alien-vs-ninja-the-verdict/
and let’s not forget Ninja Scroll
I see scroll and think of pastries for some reason…
Mmmmm pastries.
Yay for Ninjas!
OK, I’ve listened to the Podcast. I see Dan’s catchphrase for defending a film is now:
“It’s no Gost Rider”.
Grrrrrr.
I do want to comment on Daredevil as I do like it and don’t feel it deserves all the hate it gets. But I need to go away and count to 10 a few times first.
Mind you though, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t interested in this “burn in non podcast form” that’s coming. Will it make me count to 10 a few more times?
I can’t believe I misspelt Ghost Rider. Oh wait, yes I can :-S
George Washington should be fight jaded hobos. Not regular hobos, but the jaded ones who have been riding boxcars for years and are fed up with the entire American railway system.
I think many people do not like Affleck because of the whole J. Lo experience (both their relationship and the film Gigli) several years ago. That relationship really hurt his career for a long time. While I like Affleck, I think Daredevil is one of his worst films to date. I have not seen the director’s cut yet but I honestly cannot bring myself to rewatch that film again. Plus, the fact that it spawned the Elektra film is an additional knock on the film. Granted Daredevil is better than Ghost Rider, and possibly the first two Punisher films, but it is still behind Punisher: War Journal for me which is not saying much.
Trailer suggestion if you have not covered it already:
Knights of Badassdom – there is a trailer from comic-con floating around on the net.
“Damn boxcars…. never turn up on time…second grade straw in their corners”
I hadn’t thought about the J-Lo thing, but I think you’ve hit the nail right on the head there. That was all a little nauseating.
Perhaps I should re-watch the Elektra film critically. I had the advantage of low expectations and no attachment or even knowledge of the source material so I’m not sure it would provoke the same levels of disgust in me than others though.
We shall check out Kingdom of badassdom next podcast.
Oh yeah Knights of Badassdom looks geeky fantastic…
I was being outed as a hipster on podcasts before it was cool.
hehe.
Actually I didn’t make the connection between you here and on facebook. I can see it now. As you have the winning combo of beard, glasses, and male pattern baldness I shall give you a full pardon from my previous accusations of hipsterdom.
Guys! Great podcast. I especially liked when Lee “shhh’d” Dan because of the teens that may have been walking by his house. Very funny.
I saw the original Daredevil and turned it off halfway through because of how stupid it was. But, after listening to this episode, I’ll give the director’s cut a chance. Hey, you guys got me a job so it’s the least I could do.
Can’t wait for the next episode. I’m going through the back log right now.
Hey, I noticed in Itunes when I downloaded the last two episodes it put them in their own folder on my iPod versus being with all the rest. Is this because it’s a new season? #firstworldproblems
I have no idea why that happened at all. I may have messed up typing the tags to it or something (or even forgotten to type the tags). Anyhow, it wasn’t intentional.
When deciding if you’re going to rewatch daredevil make sure you remember that Lee and i have a very high tolerance for cheese.
It may have been because we changed RSS feed providers, the timing would be about right.
Thank you for your support of my almost wasted joke.
Here’s a job I’m too old to get that I’ve always wanted to do (and still consider applying for): just about any position at a movie theater. I have this irrational thought that I’d be able to watch more movies if I worked there.
George Washington needs to fight Patrick Stewart. No, the other one.
Actually, he should fight Captain Kirk. Or Jawas. Oh! Oh! Wait… I’ve got it… or a cross leprechaun with a limp!
Oh, and as promised: regarding your irrational love of Elektra… you’re idiots. That movie actually reached back in time and made Daredevil worse that it actually is. In fact, it may account for at least some of the Affleck hating. That said, you are of course entitled to your own opinion, inasmuch as you are entitled to be patently wrong.
As for Daredevil… I actually enjoyed it in its original form. Now I’m interested in seeing the Director’s Cut… something else to hunt down and force my wife to watch.
My wife Kerry used to work at a cinema, where she met Patrick Stewart. True story.
She says she used to get two free tickets a week.
Dan… now you’re just pouring salt in the wound.
