I got to the end of the Back to the Future podcast, and heard that there was a question, but in trying to find out how to add a comment, I forgot the question.

Any of these help?
My favourite cheese is Cambozola (blue brie) or or Spanish mountain cheese.
Things that annoy me in movies - poor continuity

I loved the occasional drop of a bottle cap during the podcast, and the semi-directed rambling is great to work to, though no-one else who visits my office has a clue why I listen to you. They're obviously not in the zone.

@SG-3, oh wow! I hope they weren't charging Blu-ray prices for that release of Capricorn-One!!

I recently bought T2 and was horrified to discover no special features at all!! Of course the movie looks sweet but that's not the point.

LOL all the more reason to give up mowing the lawn!!

Well, I finally just listened to the first two podcasts while mowing the lawn. You guys! I fair near mowed over my feet a couple of times there!

Our local Harvey Norman store was obsessed with playing Zhang Yimou's Hero on it's Blue Ray players (it just took me way to long to find out what the film was!); I'm glad I didn't have the kiddies with me during some of the scenes. Made me want to buy the movie, but didn't have me craving a Blue Ray player!

As for what ISN'T the quintessential "Movie to show that makes you buy a B-R player"? We just had arrive at work a B-R release of Capricorn One - a Full Frame (4:3) MONO, no extras release! It was probably ripped straight off the VHS copy.

Gotta defend Dennis Quaid - he's GREAT! Innerspace is a classic movie - maybe one of *my* perfect movie memories, and before Meg Ryan got plasticked up. (Have you SEEN her lately?! URGH!)

@Jeff, everyone is "ya gotta watch Frequency" Well fine I will go and watch it but I'll probably have to watch it on my own as Tracey is a firm disliker of Quaid.

BTW I don't need to know everything about Star Wars you Boba Fett loving weirdos freak me out, did I mention I got Tribbles for Christmas... nevermind.

Oh congrats for getting to the end of the shambling mess - I'm still digging Star Trek as Blu-ray enabler.

I have to tell you that my daughter had just left the room a minute or so before you mentioned a kid having questions about your discussion... so... yeah. Dodged that bullet. Thanks for that... :)

Totally agree on the Lucas/Davies paradox.

Val Kilmer rocked in Real Genius! And Top Secret, too. :)

Re: Dennis Quaid... you do have to watch Frequency. I have to agree about Innerspace.

Lee, I have to question your Star Wars-fu since you didn't know the Lawson-McGregor connection. (my smugness may be showing through here)

Hey... one for the club to consider: Behind Enemy Lines. That doesn't really fit in the "rules" for the club, but it's one that I can't help watching, despite it not being all that great as a whole.

What sells Blu-Rays? I honestly don't know, because I don't have enough required technology to own any so I ignore anything that pushes it. Wall-E and Star Trek are good guesses, though.
